Shopping and cute hair bows!

This morning we're heading to a new scrapbooking store. I've actually been there one other time and it's where I bought the supplies for the birthday party invitations and decorations. I've apparently gone overboard and need more supplies! :) I need to finish up the birthday banners but I want to buy a few little embellishments today. I think I've decided against birthday hats. Maybe next year. And I just need to finish up favors and that's pretty much it. In a little over two weeks, my two little babes will be ONE! I'm excited for the new stages though. Although lately I'm not loving their fight to nap and sleep.

And I thought I'd share a new favorite picture of Miss Isabella. What a cutie. :)

I think I mentioned that I bought some little hair bows. Well, this is the one for her Easter outfit. Isn't it sweet?

It'll be perfect for her little bit of hair that's longer in front. Cute shop too. I think I'll need more for summer outfits. Like the strawberry ones. It's too fun having a girl. It's fun having a little boy too. :) Hope you enjoy your day!

this I love

I really like this t-shirt available at wire & twine. I can't even imagine staying inside when when we were kids when we could go outside and play, but I guess we didn't have the cool gadgets available today. I do love the internet and all the awesome things it has to offer but I'm hoping my two have a good combination of both.

And I'm very excited to say that our letters will be for sale on the Just Multiples website!! It's a great site and they've got some really cute things for sale. Like this set of onesies. I imagine my two will fight over who's older (Steven is, by 2 minutes) but I'm sure they'll still have many conversations about it. :)

more birthday party planning!

Kids birthday parties are *way* too much fun to plan! My husband laughs because at night after babies are in bed I can't wait to grab all my supplies and go to town! :) Here's more decorations in the works. After the banners are done I'll move on to party favors. And I'm trying to decide if I should make party hats. :) My two are NOT into anything on their heads these days so I may pass on those. Hats - off! Headbands - off! Sunglasses - off! I was able to sneak a hairbow on Bella without her noticing... 2 seconds later and the little guy found it and snatched it off her head. But... I have hopes that I can get one on her for her birthday party and I ordered a couple from Etsy. I am totally addicted to them. Do a search for hairbows and there are so many adorable ones. I also did a trade for the *cutest* little birthday onesies. My sweet friend Heather has the cutest little outfits in her shop. We're trading for shop letters for her studio. Cool, huh?

a little sneaky peaky

I thought I'd share this glittery little sneak peak that I'll be sharing VERY soon. My good friend, the incredibly sweet and talented Amy Powers has something brewing. :)

And on a side note, I got the babies pictures taken today. Oh.my.goodness! Too too cute. Bella was wearing the sweetest yellow dress and Steven was matching in a yellow shirt and tie. They did well considering they were pretty fussy this morning. Can't wait to share them. Won't be until next month though. Sigh.

some new favorite pictures to share

Did you have your corned beef and cabbage fix? We went to my mother in laws for dinner on St. Patrick's Day. It was sooo good! She made a green punch and green biscuits and when we got there my 5 year old niece Kaylee comes running up to us and said, "Guess what??? When Grammy went to wash her hands, the leprechaun came and turned our food green!!" She was so excited. It was cute.

Tomorrow I'm bringing the babies in for their 1 year pictures. I'm having so much fun planning their birthday party. I can hardly wait! I figure since it's less than a month away, it's OK to wish the time away. :) These are some recent pictures that are my faves right now. I'll be sure and share their 1 year photo too. Signed, Sealed, Delivered!

I finished these up while the babies were napping earlier today and they're in the mail! Felt good to get them done. They are super super simple (which I'm all about these days.) I went with an easy to cut out lettering style on the ONE and then added these Twitterpated papers by Imaginisce. I sort of wish I went with a larger number. I chose 6 inches because I thought I could get a bunch done with only a couple sheets of 12x12 paper. I wish you saw more of the number but I'm OK with it. I also did a few 12 inch numbers to put up as decorations. :) Everything came together very quickly. I do have to say since I really don't do much creating these days I felt a little rusty. I have some extra papers on hand too because I'm going to make little treats for party favors.

Guess that's it for tonight.

Welcome Baby Ainslie

I just had to share this beautiful picture of Baby Ainslie Eleanor. Design Team member, Kory had her baby girl and we're all so thrilled for her!! Welcome Baby Ainslie and many congrats to Kory and her family.

As I look at her baby pictures it feels like yesterday that my two were this small and how overwhelmed I felt at times. And how everyone told me to enjoy it because it goes by so quickly. My two are 11 months now and it really has flown right by. Each day they are looking more like little people instead of babies. I can see little personalities forming already. Next month my two little ones will be toddlers! Then the real fun begins! :)

I wrote the other day about the babies going down so well... I guess I shouldn't have written that because last night was pretty much a nightmare. Isn't that always the way. My little guy's been a little out of sorts lately. I think he must have a tooth or two coming in.


And I thought I'd share the babies 1st birthday invitation's in progress....this isn't the greatest picture... but this is it! I was originally going with a Luau theme but their birthday is the day before Easter so we've decided to go with a Spring Fling party! I loove these papers - the picture definitely doesn't do them justice. Wait'll you see the babies outfits for the day too. Soo sweet. :)



And this is the little guy. He must have been really tired because he fell asleep midway through trying to take his hat off (he's not a fan of wearing them these days).


Let's hope for a good night's sleep for the babies tonight!

a little baby talk, a little weekend talk and a little baking talk

The babies went down very easily tonight for bed. They're always pretty good... but tonight especially. Gives me extra time to play a bit.

We had a really nice weekend. I spent a little time with some old friends yesterday. Most hadn't met the babies yet and they just ooohed and aaahed. :)
It was pretty cute. And they were so good (love when that happens!)

Today I baked this super yummy Apple Cake Tatin. Doesn't that sound fancy? :) It's a Barefoot Contessa recipe. I pretty much love anything she does. This was especially good but really sweet. The recipe was actually made with plums but it said you could substitute with apples or peaches. I think they all sound yummy and may need to bake it again this summer with fresh fruits.

Alright, I'm off. I need to pack up some orders, write a few e-mails and get the coffemaker ready for my morning fix!

Photoshoot gone bad

So, remember a few weeks back.. I was inspired by Dorothy's beautiful photos to do a photo shoot of my own with our scallop heart frame?. It didn't go so well. :) Bella wanted absolutely nothing to do with it as you can tell here. Steven just wanted to play with it and throw it around. Such a boy. I actually got a couple decent shots but none exactly how I wanted. Think I'll have to wait until next year when they're a little older.

Today I'm heading out to my LSS. I need to buy some supplies for their birthday invitations. I can't decide which store we'll go to.. we're fortunate enough to have a few stores in our area. I just need to figure out who'll have the supplies we need for our Luau theme.

I'm excited for the weekend too. Sunday I'm meeting up with some old friends. They'll all be crafting but I'm bringing the babies so no crafting for me this time. They haven't met them yet so that'll be fun.

Busy Babies and Project Share

I've been told I need to update my blog. :) I do! Is anyone else having problems with Blogger? I've tried uploading pictures a few thimes this week and have had problems each time. It seems I'm doing OK today so I'll share. Babies are napping... they are keeping me BUSY busy these days. Bella's crawling and Steven's standing and in to everything. So is Bella - she's more quiet but don't think she can't get into trouble. This was taken a few weeks back before she was crawling. I put her in the middle of the kitchen thinking she'd be OK for a second and next thing I see... she's into the cat food!


I've been planning their 1st birthday party. I know - I can't believe it. Trying to decide on a theme was tough and especially since it's one of each. I can't exactly have a princess party or truck party. So we've decided on a luau! I'm going to shop for a grass skirt for Bella this weekend I think. And Steven already has a Hawaiian shirt. I need to head out to my LSS to buy some supplies for the invitations. I better get moving! It's in a little over a month. I may head out tomorrow.

I've also been wanting to share this sweet project by Jennifer Beason. She does such an amazing job with altering projects. If you haven't visited her blog, you really should for some inspiration. Look for more projects with these letters since they're an upcoming Design Team project!
