Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween!!! We have a busy day today. Today they're getting dressed in their little lobster costumes and my mother in law and I are going to lunch at Newicks, a local seafood restaurant. Is that fun or what?? Think they'll be the hit of the place. :) Then we're heading to get their photos taken. And early tonight we're taking them trick or treating with other nieces and nephews. I love Halloween. These are a few photos taken earlier this month at our pumpkin carving night.

Next week I'll be posting some *gorgeous* wedding photos. She used several of our products at the reception and church too. And she's such a beautiful bride.

It's such a dreary day today. Think it's supposed to be like this all week. Blah.

This is some exciting news. We were published THREE times in the current issue of Paper Trends magazine. Let's see.. there was a house design by Betsy Veldman. And Design Team member Kory's 'Peace' letters. I just love these letters she created.



And last, but certainly not least (because I absolutely *adore* what she did with our tree) is Courtney Kelley. Courtney has some really sweet Halloween projects on her blog right now so head on over.

what's new? LOTS!

What do you think of our new owl shape? It was designed by design team member Julie Masse. Isn't it the cutest?? Owls are so 'in' right now.

I've been super busy loading up the shop with new kits, shapes and holiday designs galore!! Come visit for all the latest. This kit just happens to be one of my favorites featuring our Christmas Tree shape and the cheery Holiday line by My Mind's Eye.

Anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? We're heading to a friends house today for their annual Halloween Film Festival. I'm only staying for a bit with the babies. Hope you all have a nice weekend!

I'm back :)

Has it really been that long since I posted? Almost two weeks? I had to check the calendar to be sure. I've been swamped with work. We're doing a show locally tomorrow night and I'm afraid I put it off and been trying to play catch up BIG time! I'm pretty close to wrapping things up. If you're in the area, stop by our local paper crafting shop, Talk, Paper, Scissors and come say hi!

And in baby news... Miss Bella got her 1st tooth last week!! I could hardly believe it.

OK, they're sleeping so I need to take advantage!

6 months

Six months! My little ones are six months today!! This was taken last month at their cousin's birthday party. They are just too much fun now. Rolling over all the time, almost sitting up and laughing. Bella has the cutest little belly laugh.

I'm SO excited with the team we have! We have some great additions that I think will bring a whole new look to our products. Maya Road's HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS Contest

Well this is some fun news! Maya Road is having a contest for the holidays.. we're excited to be able to participate. We have the townhouse (available in our shop HERE) and wouldn't that be cute as a little home decorated for the holidays! Read on for all the details...

With the Holidays around the corner, we here at Maya Road are proud to present the Maya Road Home for the Holidays Contest! Take one or more of our Maya Road chipboard houses and decorate them for the Holidays to enter our contest! We are looking for the best looking houses on the block filled with innovative techniques and more! This contest will be judged by the talented Maya Road design team. Maya Road will be offering over $500 in prizes for this contest to be given to 5 winners. The prizes will be divided up as follows:

Grand Prize Winner (1 winner) - $250 in Maya Road products

First Runner-Up (1 winner) - $150 in Maya Road products

Finalists (3 winners) - $50 each in Maya Road products

Tomorrow is Friday. Excited for that. I'm a new stay at home/work at home mom so it's strange being home all the time. I like it and feel very fortunate to be able to do so, but it's hard sometimes to not get out much anymore. Bringing two small children and a car full of supplies makes it challenging. It makes me SO look forward to family activities. :) Tomororw night we're carving pumpkins. A tradition we've done with my in-laws for about the same amount time we've been married. We're doing it a little early this year.. it gets so difficult to find a night when everyone's available. Anyway... I'm rambling. Must have something to do with not getting out much. HA!

I want to send out some very special thank you's. I sent out a personal request to some friends asking if they'd donate handmade items to a person they don't even know (my cousin). She's a wonderful and giving person, working mom of three teenage girls and after several years of testing was recently diagnosed with MS. She's doing fairly well, but has her good days and bad days. She called me a few weeks back asking if we'd donate some product for a fundraiser she's having this month. I immediately said yes and got to thinking a few days later that I have such talented friends and wondered if they'd want to donate anything. So I sent out my e-mail and was really touched at how quickly people responded with a YES! And over the next week or so I've been getting packages from them. My cousin was really touched too. Thank you you all so much!

Thought I'd start sharing a few photos. First up is my friend Tammy who lives in my town. She creates quite a variety of items in her Etsy shop but her most wonderful creations are her art dolls. Look at this sweet doll. And those eyelashes!! :o) She has several others available in her shop too. I love these two BFF's (and they're on sale!) Thank you Tammy!
