super sweet

As soon as I saw these designs by Julie Masse I knew she needed to be one of our guest designers. Her attention to detail is beautiful. The acorn is one of our most popular Fall shapes and I love the October Afternoon papers she used with that cute squirrel!

The house makes such a great housewarming gift, which is what she used it for here. Beautiful work Julie! Can't wait to see what you do with your DT projects!

facebook + family pictures

OK, so babies are sleeping and I've been playing around with Facebook. Someone invited me to join last night, so I signed up and couldn't believe how many people I know are on the darn thing! :) Any of you?? If so, come visit HERE and be my friend. HA! I'm probably going to keep that more personal so expect to see lots of baby pictures!

A friend of mine who I haven't spoken to in years called me last night! We grew up together and she said she was looking through her address book and just decided to see if it was still the right number. It was. It was great catching up with her. Now we need to make time to get together.

Thought I'd share a couple pictures from my Dad's visit. Aren't they getting big?! No letters or shapes today. Tomorrow I'll share (or maybe even later on today.)

Hope you're enjoying your week!

nice weekend + inspiration

We had such a nice weekend. My Dad was visiting and we had a great time. He came to visit every day, brought me coffee (can't beat that!) :) We had sort of a family reunion on Saturday. We were going to visit my cousin and a few of us were planning to attend but it ended up that a bunch of family was free and we had a party! :) There were THREE sets of twins there. My Dad and his twin brother, my cousin's daughter and son (although the son didn't attend) and my two little ones. Kinda cool. Took tons of pictures. I'll have to share ones of my Dad with these little guys. Too cute.

And I've been feeling SO inspired by Heather Nichols lately. Do you visit her blog? She has such a simple style but it's just beautiful! She does a lot with Papertrey Ink (love their stuff!) Anyway, Heather will be our Guest Designer next month. We'll have a new shape for her to work with and I really can't wait to see what she does. Holiday stuff!! :) Check out some of her latest creations. Just gorgeous!

this n that + small magazine

Man, I'm dealing with FUSSY babies here! Figures too.. had family visiting today (my Dad and step mom who live in Virginia) who've never met the babies. I always say how good they are.. well not today!! The little guy was up ALL night last night. He slept very little, laying on me on the couch. Which means I pretty much got no sleep. I think they may be teething. And they're also starting to notice each other a bit (which I thought was cute at first) but now it's that they get jealous if I'm picking one up and not the other which isn't so cute because screaming then happens. Ah well.
Oh, they are both finally sleeping! I should really be working but I was checking my e-mail and got a link to this cute online magazine, small. Have you heard of it? We were actually featured in there a while back but I don't think I ever got around to posting about it. It's full of great links and adorable kids in adorable outfits! One of the first few pages also features Alicia Paulson from a sweet little blog, Posie Gets Cozy. She shares one of her family recipes. Sounds delicious and pretty easy actually. Think I may try it out.
Hope you're all enjoying your day!

Kori Clark Designs

We've had several new wholesale orders in the last couple months and I wanted to start posting some of the shops.

Kori of Kori Clark Designs has a sweet shop on Etsy and is in the process of redesigning her website. She offers boutique quality handpainted items and is such a talent (and great to work with too!) Look at these cute Fall in Love letters. She's listed some new designs in her shop using our letters and is also in the process of putting together a couple new orders as well, offering some NEW products! Check her out. These Childish Elegance letters are my absolute favorite!

She also offers stationery. This is one of my favorites. They'd make great thank you notes. How sweet!

Oh, and she also has a blog. Go visit and tell her we sent ya!

Ice Cream Revisited + Design Team Project

If you have some spare time (ha ha) there is still time to submit your work for our Summer Contest. The deadline is August 31st with a $50 gift certificate for first prize. You can stock up on some Christmas items for gifts (or a gift for yourself.)

I can hardly believe Fall and Christmas are just around the corner. We're already talking about doing a Christmas Show at one of our local scrapbooking shops. The summer's flown right by. You can get all the details on the Contest right HERE.

Also wanted to post our last, but certainly not least Design Team Project from this month. Julie Ann's work is always fun to see. And I especially love that cake slice with the cherry paper and the ric rac trim. Her new ice cream cone is adorable too! Those colors and the buttons are super sweet!

Guest Designers + HAPPILY EVER AFTER House Kit

OK, so my family is gone. We had such a nice visit. They brought lunch and even left extras for us to have dinner. Can't beat that!! :) Bella absolutely adored my brother in law Mike. It was too cute.

I am so excited to share our Guest Designers. Yes, that would be TWO of you. I had so many amazing submissions. Thank you all for sending in your work. I'm always so excited to see your work and to see such an interest in our company. Our two Guest Designers are Julie Masse and Jolene Johnston. They are both so talented and I can't wait to see what they do with our FALL projects!
And I've been dying to share this new House Kit with you but wanted to wait for the sample that Kory created. Isn't it adorable??? Scenic Route's Sonoma papers are just perfect for using with our house shape (and they're gorgeous!!) Kory did such a beautiful job on this. I love the Vintage red glitter she used on the chimney. And don't you *love* the doorknob? So sweet. You can get your kit right HERE.

look how cute!

My friend Stacy e-mailed me a while back wanting to order letters for her adorable baby boy's room. After going back and forth in several e-mails she decided on this lettering style. Very grungy and very BOY I'd have to say. They ended up taking us forever to get just right, but I must say they are adorable!! And I really love the clean and sort of simple approach she took to decorating them. The sides are green and she added bits of paper strips to the bottom. Thanks Stacy!! And your Rylan sure is a cutie pie! (Oh, and if you're shopping for fun things for your little ones, Stacy also has an Etsy shop with tutu's and dinoroar tails!)

And yes, I will be posting our NEW Guest Designer very soon! Thanks for being patient. I have family coming to visit today so it might be later on today or tonight.

Guest Designer + Back to School

The 15th sort of snuck up on me! Today's the last day for our Guest Designer Contest. We've received some pretty incredible submissions already. You're all making it VERY hard to chose!! :) I love looking at your work regardless of whose product you're working with but of course love seeing what you're doing with our stuff. I got to see some new shapes decorated that I hadn't before so that was cool. There's still time to submit. Just send along your work to me any time today until midnight.

I guess I've been going a little kit crazy lately. :) We just got in the beautiful Sonoma line from Scenic Route (I'm just lovin' this line!) I put a mini album kit together. I'll also be selling some of the items individually but haven't listed those in the shop yet. If you're interested in anything, just e-mail me and I can send a Paypal invoice out to you.

And Back to School is just around the corner (may have even started for some of you.) School supplies were the best part of going back to school, wasn't it? I put together some Back to School COOL Notebook Kits. Only $10 bucks! It would be a fun end of summer project too.

And, on an unrelated note, I read on someone's blog this morning that Daisy D's is going out of business. Has anyone heard that?? I am so bummed! This is one my all time favorite companies.

Have a great day everyone and as always, thank you SO much for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend.

Design Team :: Colleen :: TEXTURE!!

It's all about the texture and WAY outside of the box with Miss Colleen! She e-mailed me and asked if it had to still look like an ice cream cone. I said - go to town!! Look what she created! I totally love it! She's such a clever gal, that one!

And her cake slice and cupcake I am loooving with her texture paste frosting.

olympics + nesting

The little guy and I have been watching the Olympics. Bella's sleeping (she's such a good napper.) Has anyone been watching? Hubby's been recording gymnastics for me. It's seriously awesome!! The men were pretty amazing too but I just love watching women's gymnastics. Did I ever tell you I was a state champion gymnast when I was young? :) Yup! The sport has changed so much since then though. The scoring is even different so it's messing me up.

Anyway, last night I finished up a new kit. Can't help myself. I love putting these things together! It's one of my favorites so far. Little bird and nest included. :) The NESTING Bracket Mini Album Kit can be found HERE.

Enjoy your day everyone. It's a gorgeous one here!

Family Album Kit

I am totally loving this FAMILY Mini Album Kit. Think I need to snag one for myself now. Robyn did such a beautiful job with it. I love all the tags hanging out. And you can really fit quite a few little pictures in there too. I just love it Robyn!! You can get your kit HERE or HERE.

Have a great day everyone. Thanks for stopping by!

"Other things my change us, but we start and end with family."

Design Team :: Kory Dordea

Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a nice weekend. We had a really nice day at the lake on Saturday. And yesterday we packed up the babies and went to the park. It ended up raining on us so it was cut a little short but it was still nice to get out of the house. :)

And thanks for the kit love! The Amy Butler kit is now sold out (but there lots more in the shop so check it out.)

I'm really liking these slideshows so thought I'd use it again for Kory's cute projects this month! I love the bling she added and the sugared toppings on her sweet treats! She also said she kept singing this Dave Matthew's song so she included the quote on her cupcake. Love that! Enjoy her creations and enjoy your day!

New Kits

We listed several new kits in the shop over the past few days. This is the newest, Amy Butler mini album kit. My favorite items are the gorgeous baby blue polka dot ribbon, the green pom pom trim and that pretty pink posie! [EDIT: Amy Butler kit is sold out]
I'm off to the lake with the little ones. Enjoy your weekend everyone!
