this n that + painted letters

Good Morning and Happy Weekend everyone! Well, I have two sleeping babies and a yummy cup of coffee that I'm actually able to drink this morning. It's usually that I make a small pot of coffee and then it's hours before I get around to remembering about it.. then it's cold and well, microwaved coffee is just not my thing. :) The babies had their two week well-baby checkup yesterday. I can't believe how much they've changed in such a short amount of time! Their little faces have filled in so much AND they both gained a pound from their last visit! They're now 6 lbs. 11 oz. and 6 lbs. 13 oz. We love the pediatrician.. everyone is so nice and they all ooh and aah over the babies. :) How can they not?! hee hee. They're too darn cute! I'm hoping new pictures will be posted shortly.

And I wanted to share these photos that our friend Jaime painted. I just love the bright colors and I'm always a sucker for anything polka dots!

This is the funky and chunky lettering style. It's not listed on Etsy, but if you're interested in ordering, just e-mail me directly.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

more design team projects!

First, I just have to say that life with twins is already AMAZING! They are so darn sweet.. cuddling next to them and feeling their baby soft skin just melts my heart. We're feeling sleep deprived of course (!!) and juggling two crying babies is a challenge but they are so adorable!

I've been dying to share the rest of the design team projects because I love 'em so much!

First up are these fabulous NeST letters! Can I just say again how much I love them! And no one nests better than Laurie. She even added a sweet nest and eggs to her design. So sweet!

We also love the scallop square. It's such a simple design, but you can do SO much with it. I did a really simple design for the nursery by adhering paper to the front and adding one of our Chocolate monograms in each of the babies initials to the front. Just simple but looks so classic. I'll take pictures one of these days. :)

Robyn created wonderful wall art of her two little ones. I just love the button and butterflies. And it looks like she stitched around the edges of her paper - one of my favorite, homespun looks!

OK, off to check on babies. :)

baby cuteness :)

Thank you all SO much for the baby wishes! They are truly incredible! We've already taken a thousand photos but finding the time to download is another thing so we rely on family and friends to e-mail us photos. :)

We welcome with love...

GIRLS!! I'm almost there! It's been a while since I've updated so I thought I'd chit chat a bit. :) I've been in the hospital (again!) for the past, oh, two weeks I guess. It's been a long couple of weeks... they had decided to keep me in the hospital until the babies arrive so it's just been lots of testing, waiting and wondering when and how long. I'm almost 37 weeks now, which is technically full term for twins. They are both doing wonderfully - always active and their last ultrasound they weighed about 5 pounds! It's hard to believe I've been on bedrest since 25 weeks when they were just barely 2 pounds, rushing to the hospital thinking they could be delivered that early. I'm very thankful to be able to get to where we are although I do have to say I've felt pretty miserable for the past few weeks - just tired, huge, sick of bedrest and not being able to go anywhere. It's kind of sad when my excitement for the day is a shower!! Ha!
But... they've scheduled my c-section for Friday!! This Friday - wahoo!! We found out yesterday and I've felt better than I have in weeks knowing there's a scheduled date and that it's so soon. I feel ready - well, I guess as ready as I'm ever going to be! I've been dreaming about them and just can't wait to see them! Please keep us in your thoughts and I'll be sure to update you, with pictures :) very soon!! Life is good!
